WHEREAS I have on my own accord decided that an inquiry be held into the by-laws, working and financial conditions of Sibumba Farmers Co-operative Society Limited, and in accord- ance with section 58 of the Co-operative Societies Act. Now therefore, I authorize (1) William Kilel, Co-operative Auditor, Kapsabet and (2) Joseph Enyola, Co-operative Officer, Eldoret, to hold an inquiry within one (1) month from the date hereof at such place and time as may be expedient and duly notified by them. The attention of all officers and members of the society is directed to the following sections of the Co-operative Societies Act. ‘ Section 60 (1)—cost of inquiry. Gazetre Notice No. 6136 THE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT (Cap. 490) LiguipaTION ORDER WHEREAS pursuant to section 61 (1) of the Co-operative Societies Act, I have received applications. by three-fourth of the members of the Tigania Farmers Co-operative Society Limited CS/460. . And whereas I am of the opinion that the said society should be dissolved. Now therefore, pursuant to section 61 (1) of the said Act, I cancel the registration of the society and order that it ‘be liquidated. Any member of the said society may within two (2) months of 'the date of this order, appeal to the Minister for Co-operative Development against the order. If no such appeal is presented within the time.the order shall take effect upon the expiry thereof. And further pursuant to section 65, of the said Act, I appoint Moses K. Karanja, Senior Auditor, P.O. Box 61, Embu, to be liquidator and authorize him to take into his custody all the property of the said society including such books and documents as are deemed necesssary for completion of the liquidation.
