THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT

(No. 13 of 2019)

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 47 of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, notice is given that the County Government of Migori intends to commence preparation of the above Plan on the 25th August, 2023. The purpose of the plan is to provide a roadmap to sustainable development of Kehancha Municipality, enabling it to accommodate the needs of existing and future residents. The specific objectives of the plan are: (a) regulate use of land for the urbanized, new development and renewal areas with zoning and regulations following the LPLUDP guidelines; (b) guide and coordinate the development of infrastructure provision of housing and public facilities; (c) guide Kehancha’s development in an integrated manner so as to ensure sustainable urban development; and (d) provide a framework for coordinating various sector activities. Comments on the proposed plan may be directed to the undersigned not later than 24th August, 2023. Dated the 3rd August, 2023.
