THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT

ACT

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 47 of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, the County Governments Act, 2012, the Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011, notice is given that the County Government of Kilifi intends to commence preparation of the above plan, on the 6th September, 2022. The purpose of the Integrated Strategic Urban Development Plan is to provide a spatial framework for integrated socio-economic development and guide development control in a sustainable environment. The specific objectives of the plan are to: • Provide a basis for guiding and co-ordinating the development of infrastructure. • Provide a framework for regulating the use of land and development. • Provide a framework and guidelines on building and works development in the centres. Residents, stakeholders and the general public are invited to participate in the planning process. Stakeholders who wish to give their views, comments and suggestions are invited to do so during the planning process. Any comments, suggestions and enquiries can be forwarded to the undersigned.
