THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND CO- ORDINATION ACT

PURSUANT to express and implied powers conferred by section 29 of the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act, the Governor of Kwale County constitutes the persons named hereto, to be members of the Kwale County Environment Committee— Under section 29 (2) (a)— County Executive Committee Member in charge of Environmental matters in Kwale County who shall be the Chairperson Under section 29 (2) (b)— County Director of Environment, National Environment Management Authority who shall be the Secretary Under section 29 (2) (c)— One representative for each of the Ministries responsible for the matters specified in the first schedule at the County level Under section 29 (2) (d)-(g)— Members: Mwanatumu Kadau Maalim, Bintihamisi Juma Mwahaga, Nyanje Jawa Chinago, Suleiman Salim Malumbo, Machafu Swaleh Machafu, Mwinyi Jambia Mwatajiri, Representative of the Coast Development Authority Members appointed under section 29 (2) (d)-(g), shall hold office for a period of three (3) years.
