APPOINTMENT

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by the Fourth Schedule part 8 (b) of the Constitution and section 30 (2) (l) of the County Governments Act, the Governor, Mombasa County appoints— Shariff Omar Chairperson Edward Bosire, County Co-ordinator, National Land Commission Secretary Executive Committee Member, Lands Member Chief Officer, Lands Member County Attorney Member Paul Manyala, Vision 2035 Delivery Secretariat Member Rose Munupe, County Surveyor, County Government of Mombasa Member Mohamed Faraj Member Rahma Kazungu Yeri Member Nelly Atieno Winga Member to be Chairperson, Secretary and Members of the Mombasa County Land Formalization and Regularization Committee, with effect from the 10th February, 2023 for a period of one (1) year. The mandate of the committee shall be to: (a) Assess, review and recommend actions regarding applications for land allocations, lease, temporary occupation license and renewal of lease. (b) Recommend areas for re-planning, squatter formalization and subdivision on tenant at will. (c) Advise on repossession and protection of public land irregularly in private hands.
