SETTLEMENT

IT IS NOTIFIED for general information pursuant to section 39 of the Competition Act, 2010 (“the Act”), that in exercise of the powers conferred by section 38 of the Act, the Competition Authority of Kenya (“the Authority”) has entered into a settlement agreement with Flame Tree Africa Limited after the company was found to have contravened sections 60 (1) and 55 (a) (i) of the Act. Under the Settlement Agreement: (a) the Authority has imposed pecuniary penalty on Flame Tree Africa Limited of Kenya Shillings Four Hundred and Eighty- Seven Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty-One and Fifteen Cents (KSh. 487,251.15) as a full settlement of the matter; 7224 7224 (b) flame Tree Africa Limited undertook to comply with the applicable provisions of the Act and all applicable product information standards and safety information standards.
