PURSUANT to regulation 21 of the Environmental Management and Co-ordination (Impact Assessment and Audit) Regulations, 2003, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the above proposed project. The proponent, Lionsgate gas and oil limited, is proposing to construct and install three LPG bullet storage tanks, excavations or earth works, installation of the tanks and pipe works, construction of a boundary wall, entry gates, fire pump house, weighing bridge and administration office on Plot L R. No. MN/VI/3070 in Changamwe area, Mombasa County. The following are the anticipated impacts and proposed mitigation measure: Impacts Proposed Mitigation Measures High demand of • Source building materials from local suppliers raw material who use environmentally friendly processes in their operations. • Ensure accurate budgeting and estimation of actual construction material requirements to ensure that the least amount of material necessary is ordered. • Ensure that damage or loss of materials at the construction site is kept minimal through proper storage. • Use at least 5%-10% recycled, refurbished or salvaged materials to reduce the use of raw materials and divert material from landfills Possible damage of the soil structure • Proper soil compaction measures • Excavate construction areas only • Use the excavated top soil for landscaping Magistrate's Court at Bondo intends to apply to the Chief Justice for leave to destroy the records, books and papers of the Principal Magistrate's Court records at Bondo as set below. Criminal 1996 - 2012 Inquest 1996 - 2006 A comprehensive list of all the condemned records that qualify to be disposed under the Act can be perused at the principal magistrate's court registry, Bondo. Any person desiring the return of any exhibit in any of the above cases must make his/her claim within the stipulated time in the publication before expiry of the notice. All exhibits to which no claim is substantiated before the destruction of the records shall be deemed to be part of the records for the purpose of destruction. Dated the 25th September, 2015.
