GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 7461

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 22(1) of the Industrial Training Act, the Director-General intends to review the existing industrial training schemes and develop new industrial training schemes to regulate and standardize industrial training in Kenya as follows—, (1) Apprenticeship Schemes— (a) Basic I Apprenticeship Scheme; (b) Basic II Apprenticeship Scheme; (c) Intermediate Apprenticeship Scheme; (d) Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme; (e) Specialist Apprenticeship Scheme (f) Proficient Apprenticeship Scheme; (g) Master Apprenticeship Scheme; and (h) Graduate Apprenticeship Scheme. (2) Indentured Learnership Scheme. (3) Industrial Attachment Scheme. (4) Skills Upgrading for the Formal Sector Scheme. (5) Skills Upgrading for the Informal Sector Scheme. (6) Trade Test Rules. The Director-General invites members of the public to submit written comments or objections to the aforementioned draft schemes. The draft schemes and feedback collection tools are available for download from the Authority's website: www.nita.go.ke. The comments or objections to be addressed to: The Director-General, National Industrial Training Authority , Commercial Street Industrial Area, P.O. Box 74494-00200, Nairobi. or by email: directorgeneral@nita.go.ke. The deadline for submission of comments or objections shall be thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice.
