GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 9488

NOTICE is given pursuant to section 3 of the Transfer of Business Act (Cap. 500) of the laws of Kenya that — (1) all the assets used in relation to the business of non-deposit taking micro-finance ("the Business") carried on by Kenya Ecumenical Church Loan Fund, of P.O. Box 34889-00100, Nairobi ("the Transferor") under its name at its principal offices on L.R. No. 209/66/17, Royal Offices, Mogotio Road, Nairobi; and (2) the rights, benefits and obligations of the Transferor under the contracts between the Transferor and third parties in relation to the Business; have with effect from 1st April, 2019 been transferred to ECLOF Kenya Limited ("the Transferee") of P.O. Box 34889-00100, Nairobi, which will carry on the Business from its principal offices on L.R. No. 209/66/17, ROyal Offices, Mogotio Road, Nairobi, under its name. Save for the excluded liabilities as specifically defined in the Agreement for Transfer and Acquisition of Business Assets and Liabilities entered into by the Transferor and the Transferee dated 19th November, 2018, all the debts due to and owing by the Transferor up to and including 31st March, 2019, in relation to the Business shall be assumed by the Transferee.
