IT IS NOTIFIED for the general information of the public that the Director of Public Prosecutions has appointed a Taskforce on the establishment and operationalization of the Office of the Director. of Public Prosecutions inspectorate. The Taskforce shall comprise of— Chairperson Justice (Rtd.) Benard Chunga Vice-chairperson Rita Wambui'Kuria Members Abdirahman Abdillahi Lawrence Nyalle Louis G. Franceschi Secretariat Lilian Obuo —Joint Secretary Miriam Ngari Lucy Muhuni 1. The terms of reference of the Taskforce shall be to— (a) make recommendations on the establishment and operationalization of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions inspectorate; (b) formulate guidelines for inspection of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions operations; and (c) prepare and submit its report and recommendations to the Director of Public Prosecutions upon the expiry of its term. 2. In the execution of its mandate, the Taskforce may— (a) co-opt any person necessary to support the realization of the terms of reference; (b) receive any relevant information and documents; and (c) collect and collate information necessary for the fulfillment of the mandate of the Taskforce. 3. The Taskforce shall regulate its own procedure. 4. The Taskforce shall develop a work plan as may be required. 5. The term of office of the Taskforce shall be a period of thirty (30) days commencing on the first day immediately following gazettement of the Task force. Dated the 20th June, 2019.
