INQUIRY ORDER

WHEREAS the Commissioner for Co-operatives vide an Inquiry order dated 17th December, 2018 appointed (1) Stephen K. Njoroge, Assistant Director for Co-operative Audit and (2) Philip U. Uluma, Principal Co-operative Officer to carry out an inquiry into— (i) by-laws; (ii) working and financial conditions; and (iii) the conduct of the management committee past and present of Ekeza Sacco Society Limited (CS 17112) in accordance with sections 58 and 73 of the Co-operative Societies Act, for a period of thirty (30) days, with effect from the date of the order and Whereas, the said (1) Stephen K. Njoroge and (2) Philip U. Uluma have not been able to complete the inquiry exercise. I now extend the inquiry period for the said officers (1) Stephen K. Njoroge and (2) Philip U. Uluma for another period not exceeding fifteen (15) days at such place and time as may be expedient and duly notified by them. The attention of the officers and members of the Society is directed to the following sections of the Co-operative Societies Act. Section 60 (1) – Costs of inquiry Section 60 (2) – Recovery of costs of expenses Section 94 – Offences Section 73 – Surcharges Dated the 17th January, 2019. MARY N.
