PURSUANT to sections 107 and 110 of the County Governments Act, 2012, the County Government of Kwale has initiated the process of preparing its County Spatial Plan. The County Spatial Plan will be a GIS based plan seeking to guide and promote integrated and sustainable socio-economic, environmental and spatial development of the entire county for a period of of ten (10) years. The plan will capture the broad development aspirations of the Kwale people and translate them into actionable strategies, policies and plans for implementation. The plan will endeavor to optimize the county resources through organization of human activities and allocation of land into appropriate land uses for development The County Spatial Plan is multi-sectoral and multi- disciplinary and requires participation of all stakeholders throughout the process of its preparation and implementation. Notice is therefore given to all residents, interest groups, individuals, organizations and development stakeholders of Kwale County that the process of preparation of the first County Spatial Plan is underway and any person with interest or seeking to participate in the process may communicate such interest in writing by making comments and suggestions or present their views addressed to the following postal address: The County Secretary, County Govemment of Kwale,.
