Pursuant to section 139 of the Water Act, WASREB gives notice to the general public that the fees specified in the following Schedule has been prescribed by the Board as the amounts payable by the categories of licensees respectively, specified effective 1st November, 2018. The purpose of the fees specified in the schedule is to facilitate the protection of the interest and rights of consumers in the 21st September, 2018 THE KENYA GAZETTE 3257 provision of water and sanitation services. This will be achieved through setting of national standards for water service provision and asset development, licensing, monitoring compliance and enforcement of licence conditions. 2. Each Water Service Provider shall on or before the fifteenth day of each month, have remitted to Wasreb the monthly licence fees in respect of the immediately preceding month. 3. The manner of remittance of the once off fees shall be by way of payment in advance and monthly fees shall be by way of a standing order into an account of Wasreb established for the purpose in accordance with instructions issued by Wasreb. 4. Where the Water Service Provider fails to remit any amount due and payable by way of monthly license fees on or before the date specified in the license, a penalty of Kshs. 2,000 per day shall be added to the amount due for each month or part thereof during which it remains unpaid. The public is invited to review the proposed license fees within the next thirty (30) days and submit written comments. Written comments should be addressed by letter or email to: Eng. NOTICE is given that the above-mentioned part development plans was on 17th August, 2018 completed. The part development plans relate to land situated within Kikima Market, Makueni County. Copies of the part development plans have been deposited for public inspection at the offices of the Director of Lands, Mining, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Deputy County Commissioner, Mbooni and the County Secretary, Makueni County.
