THE PHYSICAL PLANNING ACT

NOTICE is given to all residents and stakeholders of Wajir County that pursuant to the Physical Planning Act, Cap. 286, Urban Areas and Cities Act, Cap. 275 and the County Governments Act, 2012, that the County Government of Wajir intends to prepare the integrated strategic urban spatial development plans that will guide the growth and development of Bute, Eldas, Griftu, Hadado, Habaswein, Khorof-Harar and Tarbaj towns for a period of ten (10) years. The purpose of the plans is to prepare a framewok that will promote integrated social economic development of these towns. The plan will endeavour to organize and allocate sufficient space for all land uses which will in turn trigger development towards attractive, environment friendly, inclusive, prosperous and vibrant towns The plan preparation will be participatory. We are pleased to invite all stakeholders to the planning process. Stakeholders who wish to make comments or suggestions on the same may do so in writing within thirty (30) days of publication of this notice. Dated the 8th May, 2018. N.
