GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 9246

IT IS NOTIFIED for the information of the general public that pursuant to Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 as read together with section 12 of the County Governments Act, 2012, sections 8, 9 and 47 of the County Assembly Services Act, 2017 and the First Schedule thereto, the Kakamega County Assembly invites applications from qualified persons for the positions of two (2) members, a man and a woman of the Kakamega County Assembly Service Board. For appointments as a Member of the Board, a person should— (a) be a citizen of Kenya; (b) hold a degree from a recognized University; (c) have at least ten years ‘experience in public affairs; and (d) meet the requirements of leadership and integrity in Chapter six of the Constitution. Interested applicants are requested to note that— (a) the members of the Board shall serve on a part time basis. (b) the remuneration and/ or benefits for these positions shall be determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. Application Criteria Persons interested in filling the above positions should submit their applications, accompanied with certified copies of the following documents: (a) Academic Certificate. (b) KRA Clearance Certificate. (c) Compliance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB). (d) Certificate of Good Conduct from the department of Criminal Investigation. (e) Clearance Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB); (f) National ID or Passport. (g) Detailed Curriculum Vitae. N/B: Candidates with foreign degrees must obtain recognition and equation of qualification from the Commission for University Education, Kenya.
