IT IS notified for the general information of the public that pursuant to the constitution of the Mineral Rights Board and in accordance with section 225 (7) and section 225 of the Mining Act— (a) all pending applications shall be determined in accordance with the Mining Act; and (b) mineral rights holders whose rights were granted under the repealed Mining Act (Cap. 306) and have since expired, may reapply for a similar type of right in accordance with section 225 (6) of the Mining Act. All mineral rights applications which shall have not complied with the Minining Act by 31st October, 2017, shall be removed from the Mining Cadastre Portal. Dated the 11th September, 2017.
