GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 8889

PURSUANT to the provisions of sections 8 and 9 the County Assembly Services Act, 2017 and the First Schedule thereto, the County Assembly Service Board of Machakos invites applications from qualified persons for the positions of two (2) members a man and a woman of the County Assembly Service Board of Machakos. For appointment as a Member of the Board, a person should— (a) be a citizen of Kenya; (b) hold a degree from a recognized university; (c) has at least ten (10) years experience in public affairs; and (d) meet the requirements of leadership and integrity in Chapter Six of the Constitution. Interested applicants are requested to note that— (a) the Members of the Board shall serve on a part time basis. (b) the salary and benefits for these positions shall be determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. Applications may be made by any qualified person. Names of all applicants and those shortlisted for each post shall be published in the print media and on the County Assembly website after the closure of the advert. Shortlisted candidates may be required to submit additional information and will be subjected to a public interview process. All applications should be submitted together with a detailed curriculum vitae, a copy of ID/Passport, copies of certificates, testimonials and any other relevant supporting documents.
