DECLARATION

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 24 (3) of the Prisons Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of the National Government declares that for the purpose of the Act, the area of land described in the Schedule shall be a prison. SCHEDULE MARIMANTI PRISON An area of land measuring approximately 28.33 hectares situated within Tharaka Central Division, Tharaka Nithi County, the boundaries of which are fenced and particularly delineated on the parcel No. N. Tharaka/Marimanti/2802. Dated the 5th September, 2017. FRED MATIANG’I, Ag. Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of the National Government.
