PROPOSED ACQUISITION

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 46(6) of the Competition Act, 2010, it is notified for general information of the public that the Competition Authority of Kenya has approved the proposed acquisition of 99% shares in Juja Pulp and Paper Limited by Greenside Limited due to the following reasons— (a) the transaction will not lessen or prevent competition in the market for paper and paper products in Kenya; and (b) the transaction is unlikely to lead to any negative public interest issues.
