NOTICE is given that The Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited, a limited liability company having its registered office at Stima Plaza, Kolobot Road, P.O. Box 30099-00100, Nairobi in the Republic of Kenya, the holder of and Licensee under the Licenses which are more particularly described in Schedule I hereto ("the Applicant"), will in March 2017, pursuant to the provisiofls of Section 28 of the Energy Act, 2006, make an application to the Energy Regulatory Commission for Power Generating and Distributing Licences covering various parts of the Country in the manner described in Schedule I. The -grant of the application will not have adverse effect on any public or local authorities, companies, persons or bodies of persons within the areas of supply. The public or local authorities, companies, persons or bodies of persons within the areas will benefit from this application through the distribution of electricity in the areas and the effective regulation of the electric power sub-sector.
