THE LAND REGISTRATION ACT

REGISTRATION

WHEREAS Susan Wanjira Kariuki (deceased), is registered as proprietor of all those pieces of land containing 0.40, 0.40 and 0.60 hectare or thereabouts, known as Gaturi/Weru/7500, 7499, 7501, respectively, situate in the district of Embu, and whereas in the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Embu in Succession Cause No. E164 of 2022, has issued letters of administration to Leah Muthoni Kariuki, and whereas the said Leah Muthoni Kariuki has executed an application to be registered as proprietor by transmission in respect of the said piece of land, and whereas the land title deed is lost, notice is given that after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date hereof, provided no valid objection has been received within that period, I intend to dispense with the production of the said land title deeds and proceed with registration of the said application to be registered as proprietor by transmission in favour of Leah Muthoni Kariuki, and upon such registration the land title deeds issued earlier to the said Susan Wanjira Kariuki (deceased), shall be deemed to be cancelled and of no effect.
