THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT

(No. 13 of 2019)

REGULATION

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 47 of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, notice is given that the County Government of Machakos intends to commence preparation of the above Plan. The purpose of the Plan is: (a) To provide Zoning Regulations for the Municipality in line with existing Land Use Plan. The objectives of the Plan are: (a) To provide a zoning framework that capture the spirit of the existing Land Use Plan. (b) To provide zoning codes prescribing among others standards, regulations, allowable building heights, ratios, allowed plot coverages, permitted and unpermitted uses for the Municipality. Comments on the proposed plan may be directed to the County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Housing, Urban Development and Energy; P.O.
