IN EXERCISE of the authority vested in me by the Constitution of Kenya as contemplated in Article 179 and in conformity with expectations of a lean and effective structure of County Governments as contemplated in section 30 (2) (e) of the County Governments Act, 2012, I, Mwalimu Mutahi Kahiga, Governor, Nyeri County, do reconstitute the following County Executive Department as hereunder: COUNTY EXECUTIVE Department of Education, Training and Devolution Department of Education, Provincial Commissioner’s Office, Block ‘C’, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 1112–10100, Nyeri County Executive Committee Member—Margaret Macharia (Ms.) Chief Officer, Education and Training—James Gichuki Kiretai Chief Officer, Devolution—Lucy Ndumba Kiogora (Ms.) DIRECTORATES: (a) Directorate of Education and Training (b) Directorate of Devolution Functions (a) All matters relating to promotion, development and accreditation of pre-primary education, village polytechnics, home craft centers, childcare facilities and vocational training. (b) Providing strategic and policy direction in matters related to devolution. (c) Creating awareness on devolution and governance. (d) Co-ordination of Kenya Devolution Support Programme functions.
