IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 5 (4) of the Political Parties Act, the Registrar of Political Parties gives notice that the following parties have applied for full registration under section 7 of the Political Parties Act, 2011 with their symbols and colours as tabulated below: Party Symbols Colours The Peoples Party of Kenya (PPK) Trumpet Blue, Red, Green and White Forum for the Restoration of Democracy, Kenya (Ford-Kenya) Lion Green, Black and White Forum for Restoration of Democracy–People (Ford-People) A Pen Black, White and Blue Progressive Party of Kenya Battery Torch Green, Blue and Yellow United Republican Party(URP) Pembe Yellow, Red, White and Black Maendeleo Democratic Party(MDP) Scissors Indigo, Orange and Green Conservative Party An African elder staff Sky-Blue, Brown, White and Green National Rainbow Coalition (Narc) Traditional African Torch (Mwenge) Green, Flame Yellow and Blue Any person or any other political party with objections to the registration of the names, symbols or colours of the above parties or any other issue relating to the registration of the political parties shall within 7 days make their written submissions to the Registrar of Political Parties.
