THE LABOUR RELATIONS ACT

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 49 (1) of the Labour Relations Act (No. 14 of 2007), the Minister for Labour makes the following order: (a) That the company, Bomas of Kenya Limited, to deduct from the wages of each unionisable employee who is not a member of the Kenya Union of Entertainment and Music Industry. Employees herein referred to as the Union but is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement RCA No. 334 of 2001 signed between the union and the company a sum equal to three per cent (3%) from each employee’s monthly gross pay (i.e. basic salary plus house allowance). (b) Deduction to commence within thirty (30) days of receiving the Order. (c) To remit within ten (10) days the sums deducted under item (a) by crossed cheques made payable to the union into the union’s account No. 100323838 at Equity Bank, Tom Mboya Avenue Branch, Nairobi.
