APPOINTMENT

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 8 (1) and 13 (2) of the Power of Mercy Act, 2011, I, Mwai Kibaki, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, in consultation with the Prime Minister, declare a vacancy in the membership of the Advisory Committee on the Power of Mercy under section 5 (1) (b) of the Act and appoint— Lilian Wanjiku Wahome (Prof.)—(Chairperson), Kennedy W. Kihara, Caroli Omondi, Fatuma Adan Dullo, Naomi Wangai, Charles Kibicho (Rev. Dr.), Titus M. Karani, David M. Mutemi (Amb.), Charles Wanyoike, to be members of the selection panel for the purposes of selecting a suitable candidate for appointment as a member of the Advisory Committee on the Power of Mercy under section 9 (3) of the Act.
