THE LABOUR RELATIONS ACT

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 49 (1) of the Labour Relations Act (No. 14 of 2007), the Minister for Labour makes the following Order: (a) That the company Ashut Engineers Limited; Corrugated Sheets Limited; Nails and Steel Products Limited; Southern Engineering Company Limited; Cook ―N‖ Lite Limited to deduct from the wages of each unionisable employee who is not a member of Kenya Engineering Workers Union herein referred to as the ―union‖ but is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreements RCA 269 of 2011; RCA No. 111 of 2011; RCA No. 226 of 2011; RCA No. 235 of 2011; RCA No. 263 of 2011 signed between the union and the company a sum of two per cent (2%) from each employees basic pay per month. (b) Deductions to commence within thirty (30) days of receiving the Order. (c) To remit within ten (10) days, the sums deducted under Item (a) by crossed cheque made payable to the union, into the union‘s account No. 0100–257–912–002 at Standard Chartered Bank Limited, Kenyatta Avenue Branch, Nairobi.
