THE MICROFINANCE ACT

(No. 19 of 2006)

REGULATION

PURSUANT to regulation 8 (1) of the Microfinance (Deposit- Taking Microfinance Institutions) Regulations, 2008, it is notified for the information of the general public that the Central Bank of Kenya licensed SMEP Deposit Taking Microfinance Limited, as a nationwide microfinance institution to carry out deposit-taking business throughout Kenya, with effect from the 14th December, 2010. Dated the 6th January, 2011. NJUGUNA NDUNG‘U, Governor, Central Bank of Kenya.
