DECLARATION

in exercise of his powers under section 67C (2) (i) of the Insurance Act, the Commissioner of Insurance and Chief Executive Officer appointed Eliud Muchoki Muriithi, of P.O. Box 58969–00200, Nairobi, Kenya, to act as statutory manager of Blue Shield Insurance Company Limited with effect from 16th September, 2011. Now take further notice that in exercise of powers conferred by section 67C (2) of the Insurance Act, the Statutory Manager declares a Moratorium on the payments by the said insurer to its policy holders and all other creditors for a period of twelve (12) months with effect from the date of this notice.
