IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 49 (1) of the Labour Relations Act, 2007, the Minister for Labour makes the following Order: (a) The Company, East African Sea Food Limited, to deduct from the wages of each unionisable employee who is not a member of Kenya Union of Commercial Food and Allied Workers herein referred to as the ―union‖ but is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (RCA No. 254 of 2010, signed between the Union and the company a sum equal to two and a half per cent (2.5%) from the basic wages of every employee who earns more than KSh. 2,500 per month. (b) Deductions to commence within thirty (30) days of receiving the Order. (c) to remit within ten (10) days, the sums deducted under Item (a) by crossed cheque made payable to the union, into the Union‘s Account No. 094–182–2290 at the Barclays Bank (K) Limited, Queensway Branch, Nairobi.
