GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 826

WHEREAS Joseph Kipkoech Chepkurui, of P.O. Box 1372, Eldoret in the Republic of Kenya, is registered proprietor of those pieces of land known as Moiben/Kimnai/141 and 144, situate in Marakwet District, and whereas the resident magistrate‘s court at Iten, LDT case No. 7 of 2009, has ordered that the said pieces of land be subdivided into halves of 4 acres and 11 acres for both Joseph Kiplagat Chepkurui and Luka Kiplagat, and whereas all efforts made to compel the registered proprietor to surrender the land title deeds issued in respect of the said pieces of land to the land registrar have failed, notice is given that after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date hereof, provided no valid objection has been received within that period, I intend to dispense with the production of the said land title deeds and proceed with the registration of mutation and transfer of the said portions of 4 (four) and 11 (eleven) acres to Luka Kiplagat, and upon such registration the land title deeds issued earlier to the said Joseph Kiplagat Chepkurui, shall be deemed to be cancelled and of no effect.
