GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 2305

NOTICE is given that application under section 18 (2) of the Mining Act has been made by Messrs. Zhen Hua Company Limited, of P.O. Box 223–00507, Nairobi, Kenya for exclusive prospecting licence to prospect for industrial minerals over an area described in the schedule hereto and the said application has been accepted for consideration. By virtue of section 7 (1) (d) of the Mining Act the said area of land is therefore excluded from prospecting and or mining except as regards any prospecting and mining rights granted in respect of the THE KENYA GAZETTE 4th March, 2011 area in question or any part thereof before the date of this notice which are subsisting or any right of renewal thereof. Any objection to the grant of the exclusive prospecting licence may be made in writing and addressed to the Commissioner of Mines and Geology, P.O. Box 30009–00100, Nairobi, Kenya to reach him within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice. SCHEDULE An area of approximately 836km situated in Kitui District of Eastern Province, delineated on Kitui topo sheet Ref. No. SA-37-6 of scale 1: 250,000 and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at point ―A‖ grid reference CJ 5082; thence on a grid bearing of 90 for a distance of approximately 38km to point ―B‖ grid reference CJ 8882; thence on a grid bearing of 180 for a distance of approximately 22km to point ―C‖ grid reference CJ 8860; thence on a grid bearing of 270 for a distance of approximately 38km to point ―D‖ grid reference CJ 5060; thence on a grid bearing of 360 for a distance of approximately 22km to the point of commencement.
