GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 1

NOTICE is given that an application under- section 17 of the Mining Act has been made by Messrs. Swenison & Simonet Minerat (K) ',invited, of P.O. -Box 25492,-00603-, Nairobi. Kenya for a special licence to prospeat for a -non-precious-minerals and base metals over an area described in the schedule hereto and the said application has beettaccepted for consideiation. By virtue of the above-mentioned section of the Mining Act, the said area of land is•therefore re-opened to prospecting -and mining and by virtue of, section 7 (I) (d) of the Mining Act, the said area of land is therefore excluded from prospecting and or mining exceptas regards any prospecting and mining rights granted in respect of the area or any part, thereof before the date of this notice which are subsisting or any right of renewal thereof. Kenya to reach him within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice. • SCHEDULE An area of approximately 125.6 square-kilometre situated 1n Kwale District of Coast Province, delineated on Mombasa topo sheet Ref No. SB-37--3 of scale 1:250,000 and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at point "A" grid reference EE 0398; thence on a grid bearing of 76.5° for a distance of approximately 10 km. to point "B" grid reference EF 1300; thence on a grid bearing of 112.3° for a distance of approximately 5.3 km. to point "C' grid reference EE 1898: thence on a grid bearing of 143.4° for a distance of approximately 123 km. to point "D" grid reference EE 2488; thence on a grid bearing of 190.6° for a distance of approximately 5 km. to the point "E" grid reference BE 2483; thence on'a grid bearing_of 305.8° for a distance of approximately 9.4 km. to point "F" ,grid reference EE 1689; thence on a grid'bearing of 1.6° for a diotance of approximately 4.2 km. to point "0" grid reference EE 1693: thence on a grid bearing of 281.7° for a distance of approximately 9.2 km. to point "H" grid reference EE 0894; thence on a grid bearing of 306.9° for a distance of approximately 5:0 km. to the.point of commencement.
