(1) The Council shall advise the Minister on all matters pertaining to road safety. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of subparagraph (1), the Council shall— (a)determine and set out the goals and objectives for the promotion of road safety work in Kenya; (b)plan and develop road safety education and campaign strategy to ensure compliance with acceptable and proven road safety principles; (c)co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate road safety activities, programmes and strategies; (d)develop and maintain a comprehensive 'database, and publish reports, on road safety; (e)set standards for road safety equipment and ensure compliance thereof; (f)recommend adoption of precautionary measures to prevent road accidents; (g)enlist the aid of all agencies and individuals, public or private, who, in the opinion of the Council, are able to promote acceptable and proven road safety principles; (h)foster and promote research on road safety; (i)perform such other function as the Minister may assign. No. 8442 THE LIQUOR LICENSING ACT (Cap. 121) KIAMBU LIQUOR LICENSING COURT STATUTORY MEETING NOTICE is given that the ne .1 statutory meeting of Kiambu Liquor Licensing Court will be held in the District Commissioner's Office on Monday 10th November, 2008 at 10.00 a.m. Applications to be considered at this meeting whether, new, renewal, transfer, removal or conversion of licences should be submitted on the prescribed from GP. 147 or 148 in case of transfer or removal in triplicate with a KSh. 10 adhesive revenue stamp affixed on the original copy only and addressed to the Chairman, Kiambu Liquor Licensing Court, P.O. Box 32, Kiambu so as to reach him on or before 25th September, 2008. Late application will only be accepted if received on or before 10th October, 2008 on payment of KSh. 1,000 being late application fee. Applications for new, transfer, removal or conversion of licences must appear in person before the Liquor Licensing Court or be represented by an advocate. Attendance in court by renewal applicants is optional unless there are objections in which case attendance is desirable. Applications for renewals must attach photostart copies of their previous licenses and should send their applications by registered post or deliver them by hand to the Chairman, Liquor Licensing Court..
