IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 3 of the National Assembly and Presidential Elections Act and regulations 3 (1) of the National Assembly and Presidential Elections (Registration of Electors) Regulations, the Electoral Commission appoints the persons named in the second column of the Schedule to be assistant registration officers for the constituencies named in the first column of the schedule. The appointments which shall be for the purpose of replacement of lost or defaced voters' cards shall come into force on 15th August to 24th September, 2008 and will be for the conduct of the by-elections to be held on 25th September, 2008 only.
