NO. 4467 THE VALUATION FOR RATING ACT (Cap. 266) THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF BUNGOMA DRAFT VALUATION ROLL, 2006 NOTICE is given that the draft valuation Roll, 2006, for the County Council of Bungoma, incorporating private and public lands areas of the said County Council of Bungoma as required by section 9 (2) of the Valuation for Rating Act, is now available at County Hall, Bungoma for public inspection. Any person may inspect the said draft valuation rolls and take copies or extracts form it between Mondays to 'Fridays during office hours. Section 10 of the Valuation for Rating Act enables any aggrieved person— (a)by the inclusion of any rateable property, or by the omission of any rateable property from the draft valuation rolls or (b)by any value ascribed in the draft valuation rolls to any rateable property, or by any other statement made or omitted to be made in the same with respect to any rateable property. Objection may be lodged using, prescribed forms which shall be obtained from the Market office and be lodged with the undersigned at County Hall, Bungoma at any time before the expiry of twenty eight (28) days from the date of publication of this notice. The said forms may be obtained on payment of KSh. 500 only, to the County Treasurer at County Hall. Attention is drawn to section 10 (2) of the said Act indicating that "No person shall be entitled to lodge any objection before a valuation court unless he has first lodged such notice of objection as aforesaid". Provided that it shall be competent for a valuation court to agree to consider any objection, through the notice thereof has not been given in accordance with this section. Dated the 14th May, 2008.
