ACT
NOTICE is given that the Communications Commission of Kenya pursuant to the provisions of the Kenya Communications Act, 1998, intends to modify the telecommunications licences in order to adopt the proposed unified licensing framework from July, 2008.
The proposed new licences that are intended for use under the new unified licensing framework are available on the Commission's website at http://www.cck.go.ke/current consultations/.
The reason for the intended licence modification is to facilitate the implementation of the new licensing framework which is geared to harness the opportunities presented by technological convergence as well as address the emerging regularly challenges.
The modification of the licences will affect public and local authorities, companies, licensees, persons or bodies of persons in
Kenya.
Any public or local authority, company, person, licensees or body of persons desirous of making any representation on or objection to the licence modification as aforesaid must do so by a letter addressed to the Director-General, Communications Commission of Kenya, Waiyaki Way, P.O. Box 14448-00800, Nairobi, before the expiry of sixty (60) days from the date of this notice.
