THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND CO-ORDINATION ACT

REGULATION

PURSUANT to regulation 21 of the Environmental (Impact Assessment and Audit) Regulations, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the implementation of proposed Air Field. The proposed project involves of construction and maintenance of an air-field with a hanger for the proponent to manage horticulture farms dealing with growing cut flowers for export. The project is to be located on L.R. No. 395/8, Naivasha. The project anticipates the following impacts and mitigation measures: Possible Impacts Mitigation Measures 1. Dust • Provision of dust coats, caps and masks to the workers on the site. •Sprinkling water on the loose suraces.
