APPROVAL

IT IS notified for the information of the residents of Vihiga County and the general public that the County Government of Vihiga shall hold the official conferment ceremony for the municipality status upon Kaimosi town pursuant to the provisions of Article 184 of the Constitution, sections 9, 10 and 12 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011 and following the approval by the County Assembly of Vihiga. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday the 2nd July, 2026 at Kaimosi Teachers Training College from 9.00 a.m. presided over by the Governor. Dated the 17th June, 2026.
