THE LAND REGISTRATION ACT

REGISTRATION

WHEREAS Joshua Chepkwony Chumo (deceased), is registered as proprietor of all that piece of land known as Kericho/Litein/782, situate in Kericho County, and whereas in the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Kericho in Succession Cause No. E42 of 2017, has issued grant of letters of administration and certificate of confirmation of grant to (1) Sarah Chepkemoi and (2) David Kipkurui Chepkwony, and whereas the land title deed issued to Joshua Chepkwony Chumo (deceased), has been reported missing or lost, notice is given that after 2996 2996 the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date hereof, provided no valid objection has been received within that period, I intend to dispense with the production of the said land title deed and proceed with registration of L.R.A. 39 and L.R.A. 42 and issue land title deed in the name of (1) Sarah Chepkemoi and (2) David Kipkurui Chepkwony, and upon such registration the land title deed issued earlier to Joshua Chepkwony Chumo (deceased), shall be deemed to be cancelled and of no effect.
