GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 5595

NOTICE is given pursuant to section 58 (A) (1) of the County Governments Act, as amended by the County Governments (Amendment) Act, 2020 and with the approval of the County Assembly that I, Abdi Ibrahim Hassan, Governor, Isiolo County, appoint the following persons to be members of the Selection Panel for the Recruitment of three (3) members of the County Public Service Board; Isack Kara Boru (Chairperson), Nuria Mubarak (Member), Linus Thuranira Gichunge (Member), Peter Muhuha Ngechu, Rebecca Mwonjiru Munya (Member). The terms of reference of the Selection Panel will be to (a) formulate and undertake the advertisement of three (3) vacancies in the membership of the County Public Service Board; (b) receive applications in respect of the vacancies in paragraph (a) above; (c) undertake the long listing and short listing of the applications received under paragraph (a) above; (d) prepare and publish the interview schedule of the candidates shortlisted for the stated vacancies; and (e) conduct the interviews of the shortlisted applicants and thereafter forward the names of the successful applicants to the County Governor for onward transmission of his nominees to the County Assembly for vetting and approval. In the performance of its task, the Selection Panel shall— (a) regulate its own procedure; (b) be facilitated by the Office of the County Secretary and the County Department of Finance as may be appropriate to the effective discharge of its mandate; and (c) submit a final report of its activities to the Governor at the end of its term.
