IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 15 (3) of the National Rating Act, 2024, notice is given to all rateable owners and the general public that the Land Rates levied by the County Government of Machakos for the year 2026 shall become due on 9th April, 2026 and shall be levied as follows: Public and Private Properties/Plots in the Land Valuation Roll, 2024 in Municipalities, Townships, Trading Centres and Leaseholds within Machakos County. Location Rates Payable Form of Rating Rate Struck All rateable land parcels/plots within Machakos County Per year Unimproved site value  0.5%  Area rates will apply to trading centres and isolated plots. Land rates for all rateable properties/plots will fall due after sixty (60) days from the date of this notice. Dated the 8th April, 2026.
