THE NATIONAL POLICE SERVICE ACT
(Cap. 84)
DECLARATION
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 106 (1) of the
National Police Service Act, 2011, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, in consultation with the National
Security Council, has made a declaration on the 26th March, 2026, declaring parts of Laikipia, Meru and Isiolo Counties as security disturbed and dangerous, namely:
1. Laikipia North
(a) Mugogo Forest
(i) Mugogodo
(ii) Sieku
(iii) Makuriani
(iv) Doldol
2. Tigania East Sub-county
(a) Mlima Rasta (Kamberia Sub-location)
(b) Mlima Lombolio (Kamberia Sub-location)
(c) Mworontoi Belt (Gambela Sub-location)
(d) Nyambene Game Reserve (Kisima Sub-location, Chumviere
Sub-location)
3. Igembe North Sub-county
(a) Ngatho Dam Area (Antuambui Sub-location)
4. Isiolo North Sub-county
(a) Sarova Game Reserve (Manyatta Zebra Sub-location)
(b) Lowarengishu Hills (Eremet Sub-location)
(c) Mutunyi Hills
(d) Loruku Hills (Loruku Sub-location)
This notice shall take effect on the 26th March, 2026 as from 6.00 p.m., for a period of thirty (30) days and may, at any time be withdrawn or continued in force for such further period as the Cabinet
Secretary may, in each case, by notice in the Gazette direct.
