THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT

(Cap. 303)

REGISTRATION

PURSUANT to the provisions of section (47) of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, and the Community Land Act 2016, Notice is given that the County Government of Lamu, in collaboration with the National Government, intends to commence the preparation of the above Plan. The purpose of the Plans is provide a spatial framework for registration of the above area as a community land and to also ensure guided and coordinated developments in the planning area in order to benefit local communities by improving their livelihood and sustainable use of the natural resources therein. Comments on the proposed plans may be written and/or directed to the Office of the County Executive Committee Member in Charge of Lands, Physical Planning, and Urban Development at the Lamu County Headquarters Mokowe. Emails of the same should be addressed to dir.physicalplanning@lamu.go.ke within fourteen (14) days from the date of this notice. Dated the19th January, 2026.
