IT IS notified for the general information of the public that in line with section 28 (1) and 29 (1) and (2) of the Basic Education Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Education issues the following fees structure for all public senior schools in Kenya, for learners under both the Competency-Based Education and the 8-4-4 systems— A. Schools shall spread these fees over the three school terms at the ratio of 50:30:20. No public school shall charge tuition fees or any other extra fees or levies contrary to the fees structure stipulated hereinabove. Schools charging below the foregoing ceilings are encouraged to maintain their rates. Any future variations shall be approved by the Cabinet Secretary and gazetted accordingly.
