GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 18996

PURSUANT to section 8 of the Statutory Instruments Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Developments notifies the general public that a Regulatory Impact Statement on the draft Civil Servants (Housing Scheme Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025 has been prepared to assess the impact of the Regulations on the Civil Servants Housing Scheme Fund. The draft Regulations have been made by the Cabinet Secretary pursuant to section 27 of the Housing Act (Cap. 117). The objective of the draft Regulations is to improve accessibility, affordability and inclusivity of the Civil Servants Housing Scheme Fund to relevant officers and dual-income households. The Cabinet Secretary therefore, requests civil servants to submit written memoranda on the draft Civil Servants (Housing Scheme Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025, to reach the undersigned within fourteen (14) days from the date of publication of this notice. The Regulatory Impact Statement and the draft Civil Servants (Housing Scheme Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025, are available on the State Department for Housing and Urban Development website: www.housingandurbandevelopment.go.ke. The State Department will hold regional public consultation forums on the draft Civil Servants (Housing Scheme Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025, whose venues and dates will be communicated through the State Department’s website.
