APPROVAL

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Lamu County Valuation Act and the powers conferred by section 3 of the Valuation for Rating Act, Cap 266 of the laws of Kenya, the County Government of Lamu gives notice that the County Assembly of Lamu approved the valuation roll for Lamu Island, Mpeketoni, Hindi, and Mokowe towns in Lamu County by a communication dated 26th September, 2024. With the above approval, the County Government of Lamu adopts a Site Value Rate for levying rates. This is to inform the public that the approved valuation rolls will be the basis of the collection of rates within the stated townships forthwith and as stipulated by the Lamu County Finance Act. The Valuation Roll is available at the CECM for Finance Office/County Revenue Office/CECM for Lands and Physical Planning and Urban Development offices at the County Headquarters, Mokowe-Lamu Dated the 6th January, 2024.
