GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 11380

PURSUANT to regulation 16(1) of the Seeds and Plant Varieties (Plant Breeders’ Rights) Regulations, 1994, it is notified for the the general information of the public that the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development has received applications for the grant of plant breeder’s rights from the persons set out in the Schedule hereto in relation to the respective plant varieties. SCHEDULE 1. The applications for grant of plant breeders’ Rights were in respect of eighty-four plant varieties as set out in this Schedule. 2. Any breeder, successor in title to the breeder or any person who has substantial interest or is in a position to adduce material evidence relating to the applications may make representation regarding any of the applications. 3. Representations may be made by lodging the original or certified copy of the deed of assignment or lodging the original or certified copy of letters of administration of the grant or such documentary evidence as will satisfy the authorized officer. 4. The representations or requests for a hearing concerning the applications or any matters on which the authorized officer should be satisfied shall be made by the person applying for the opportunity to make representations to the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development or the Authorized officer within sixty days of this notice, failure to which the authorized officer will proceed with processing of the applications.
