GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 15143

TAKE notice that a bankruptcy petition has been presented to the High Court of Kenya at Nakuru by Daniel Mwangi Gathinji of 20100 residing at Njoro, Nakuru, pursuant to the provisions of the Insolvency Act, 2015, seeking a bankruptcy order against him/herself. The petition was filed on the 21st May, 2025 under Bankruptcy Cause No. E3 of 2025, and the debtor has disclosed an inability to pay debts as they fall due. Take further notice that pursuant to section 32 (1) and section 35 of the Insolvency Act, and Rule 102 of the Insolvency (Proceedings) Rules, 2016: 1. A bankruptcy petition has been duly filed and is pending determination. 2. The debtor has submitted a Statement of Affairs and an Affidavit of Means as required under the Act. 3. The matter shall be mentioned or heard on the 9th October, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. before the High Court at Nakuru. 4. Upon declaration of bankruptcy, the Official Receiver, as provided under section 37 of the Insolvency Act, shall be the trustee of the bankrupt's estate unless a private trustee is later appointed. Any creditor or interested party wishing to oppose the petition may appear in person or by advocate at the hearing.
