THE LAND REGISTRATION ACT

REGISTRATION

WHEREAS David Nyumu Katona (deceased), is registered as proprietor of all that piece of land known as Matungulu/Katine/1022 and Matungulu/Katine/1021, containing 1.4 hectares or thereabout, situate in the county of Machakos, and whereas in the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Kangundo in Succession Cause No. 184 of 2022, has issued grant of letters of administration to (1) Norman Katona and (2) Felix Nyumu Mutiso, and whereas the said Court has executed L.R.A. 39 for registration, and whereas all efforts made to recover the land title deed for the said parcel of land have failed, notice is given that after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date hereof, provided no valid objection has been received within that period, I intend to dispense with the production of the said land title deeds and proceed with registration of the said instrument of L.R.A. 39, and issue land title deed to (1) Norman Katona and (2) Felix Nyumu Mutiso, and upon such registration the land title deeds issued earlier to the said David Nyumu Katona (deceased), shall be deemed to be cancelled and of no effect.
